We understand how difficult it can be to pick the right shade haberdashery for your sewing project. We are delighted to enhance our “Add a Matching” service now to also include buttons and zips. We provide similar service for threads and cuff ribbing as well. 

How does this service work:

1. Pick the size of buttons from the dropdown menu (we offer 11mm, 15-18mm and 20-25mm options). 

2. Add as many buttons as you require to your basket 

3. Let us know which fabric to match the colour to or if you have a preference for a specific shade in the order notes.

In the most cases we will pick Corozo buttons from mind the MAKER, meet Milk and Cousette range for you. In some cases we may chose pother t bands as well if the button shade matches better.

Corozo is a natural material made from the seeds of the corozo palm. Also known as vegetable ivory, corozo is a plant based, ecologically responsible material. Unlike plastic, it is non-toxic and biodegradable. The production of Corozo buttons does not require the cutting-down of trees, because the buttons are made from the trees nut. Corozo seeds can only be collected when they fall naturally from the tree - otherwise they are not ripe enough for button production. So corozo button production does not require any deforestation.

 

Corozo is made of very dense organic fibers which results in excellent durability and scratch resistance.

 

Our Corozo buttons are dyed with environmentally friendly dyes, and a unique colour fixation system to make them resistant to vapor and washing.
